Yes im Scottish too and this is news to me, this is the Tory,s for you , next they,ll be teaching the kids how to salute Santa Claus. Vote S.N.P and get out of this sinking ship !!!

It basically was a way to talk to the kids about what to do in an emergency without freaking them and their parents out about terrorists. this way its just a creative writing idea, instead of about how brown people are coming to kill them.

I haven't heard about it, but if I had to guess, it would be for the same reasons USA had their kids hid under their wooden desks for fear of Sputnik. In other words, paranoia and delusional xenophobia. Then again, they might have just meant "UFO" as in "any flying object a terrorist or someone else might use to kill us," or something like that.

Sure why not ,well known fact really, tornado's hit trailer parks UFOs hit schools I thought every body knew this.

Because our school system is controlled by lunatics who make you put a condom on a banana in science class. is it any wonder teen pregnancy is so high when the kids can't tell the difference between a banana and a penis.

Hmm...quite intriguing indeed. It's the first I've heard of this news but now that I've "googled" it it seems to be on a few websites. That coupled with the news (though unsubstantiated) that the UN was about to appoint an Earth alien ambassador does certainly give you food for thought! Perhaps we are finally approaching the day where world governments give us full disclosure and tell us what the hell's going on with UFOs. It's either that some people at the top are playing a sick joke on us with the whole 2012 date looming on the horizon, or, something big is happening and they are drip feeding us the information and mentally preparing us for CONTACT.
