Question about school uniform policies in the UK

Question about school uniform policies in the UK?
Hey guys, Seeing as we are going back to school next week I went out and bought some new jogging bottoms/trackees/tracksuit trousers for P.E lessons. They were the only pair which fit me well, and stayed under the policy of black trousers for P.E. My mum and I realised that they have a long word along the right leg, saying "Mckenzie" in relativley large silver letters, and we are wondering whether this will be allowed. I am unsure as to whether they will be, but they are the only decent pair we could find which fit me. I am also a little nervous about it as Mckenzie isn't really the type of brand I am used to wearing, and I am worried that someone will say something crude or embarrassing. Any views on this? Does anyone with possible knowledge of UK schools know whether they'd fit the guidelines? Thanks for your answers in advance xxx

All schools differ from each another. some are more up tight with there uniform policy while other schools/students can wear pretty much anything. it depends on your school... and how uptight there uniform policy is... sorry i couldn't help you.

I don't think so. Check with your school, but most likely you won't be able too.

I don't know for sure, but i do know that medical school programs start at the undergraduate level in the UK. Students come straight out of high school and start studying medicine in the UK, whereas (as i'm sure you know) you complete a bachelors degree in the US b4 attending medical school. As you already have a degree im not sure if you can be accepted into a medical program in the UK. You may be able to get a master's or PhD in a medical field (such as public health) but i think it would be difficult to get into a program that trains you as a medical doctor.

To study in the UK you need to show that you can pay the fees and also support yourself. if you take £10K as the annual fees for international students, then over 3 years that about £30K, plus you will need another £10K a year to support yourself. if you can demonstrate that you have the means to support yourself, then the other things you need to show are relevant qualifications. http://www.internationalstudentsguide.com
