Finish high school in UK

Finish high school in UK ?
I live in Belgium, and I'm doing my 5th year secondary (11th grade?) here, one more year to go before college. For a stupid mistake that I did, I got expelled from school 2 months before finishing my 5th (which was actually a week ago, my grades were good, thats not the problem). I want to study/live/work in UK. I have the money, a place to stay and I know people there. But I'm not really familiar with the education system, GED and the rest. Is it possible to finish high school in UK ? if so, can I get accepted into 6th grade instead of repeating 5th again. or maybe I should go for a GED ? Will I get accepted into a college with a GED (ICT related courses) ? What are my choices ? BIG THANKS !!!!

GED is not the way to go. It is more respectable to go all the way through. Some institutions take that as the easy way out of the classroom. A standard diploma has more weight than that and some universities and jobs will not consider applicants with a GED. It depends on if all your credits from your high school have equivalents in the UK. That will determine if you must repeat Grade 5 again. You will have to send full transcripts to the Kingdom. Some schools may block you from transferring if the offence was really bad. Since you are Belgian (from Wallonie or Vlaans I don't know) and not from an Anglophonic country, you may also have to ace an English competency test in order to be integrated with other high school students or be given special attention with ESL (English as a Second Language) classes. Your English seems fine to me though.
