process for medical school in the UK

process for medical school in the UK?
I have a bachelor's degree in business from a university in the US. I'd like to study to become a doctor in the UK. Can someone outline the general process for me?

You can get a doctorate in many subjects in the UK from doctor of medicine to doctor of divinity. Mostly these are post graduate courses http://www.business.uce.ac.uk/Postgraduate/Courses/ http://www.findamasters.com/search/showcourse.asp?cour_id=9192 This site will also be useful http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/

You apply through UCAS. This has to be done by the october the year before you want to start. You will then have to sit an MCAT test which is a 5 hour exam. If you go to the website below it will tell you what there testing you on. http://www.psychometric-success.com/university-graduate-admissions/MCAT.htm You will then have an interview if you pass the MCAT. Just to warn you that med schools here are saturated with only 1 in 10 getting a place. However you may be at an advantage as some unis i think have allocated places for international and postgraduate students. I could be wrong on this though. But if it's what you want go for it.

Yeah apply to UCAS! But you have to have the rigth A levels in order to goto uni to study medicine. You commonly need A in Biology and an A in chemistry. Maths is also a great advantage! x
